TGE, the zinc oxide varistor manufacturer, developed D36 series metal oxide varistors (glass coated) for distribution arresters for heavy duty application, this application is normally with D42 series. TGE new D36 series are with excellent 4/10µs high current performance and 8/20µs repetitive charge transferring performance, makes it be able to replace old D42 series for this application. It can not only miniaturize the distribution arresters but also reduce the production cost greatly.
