The 5th Meeting of the 8th National Technical Committee for Surge Arrester Standardization and the 2025 Annual Meeting were successfully held in Shenzhen. A delegation from TGE attended the meeting to exchange insights with industry experts and contribute to the development of surge arrester standardization.
Hosted by Sun Quan, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Surge Arrester Standardization and Director of XIHARI, the meeting featured important speeches by leaders of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association and Wang Jiansheng, Chairman of the Technical Committee. Participants reviewed the 2025 work summary, financial report, IEC/TC37 series technical counterpart work summary, and standard system, clarifying the industry's development direction.

Zhao Dongyi, CTO of TGE, won the "Advanced Individual" award
Liu Yuanyuan, Deputy General Manager of TGE, won the "Advanced Individual in International Standardization Work" award
The draft of NB/TXXXXX "Low-Voltage AC Metal Oxide Surge Arresters - Part 1: Technical Specifications" was reviewed and approved. And the 2026 standard formulation and revision plan was also confirmed. Senior leaders of the Technical Committee delivered closing speeches, expressing continuous support for surge arrester standardization work and sincere expectations for the next session.
These honors fully reflect the industry's recognition of TGE's technical strength and contributions to standardization. In the future, TGE will continue to deepen its efforts in core areas, lead innovation through standards, and support the high-quality development of the global power industry.
